4th session. Entrepreneurship in Education

I have the impression that this session has been perhaps the most rewarding – so far – in terms of inspiration. If we compare with our previous presentations with the accumulated level of stress of being creators and presenters of our own material, for this session we had the enormous opportunity to relax and absorb the inspiring message of representatives of projects like EduNordica, Terwa Akatemia and Suomen Yrittäjät. On the top of those fantastic examples of entrepreneurship and promotion of entrepreneurship I was also positively surprised by the extraordinary capacity of some of my own classmates towards entrepreneurship and their own professional ventures. No doubt I ended up overwhelmed and at the same time intrigued and stimulated by the vision of my own future projects.

For this topic I have decided to elaborate three different videos explaining the assigned task in my attempt to cover the three areas of entrepreneurship in education included in the basic studies of vocational pedagogy: 

1. Basic concepts of entrepreneurship in education   
2. The social significance of entrepreneurship  
3. Teacher's working life networks and business cooperation

During this session we covered the third of the main pillars of the teaching process. We started with PLANNING , then we touched IMPLEMENTING and now it was time for ASSESSMENT . Personally I was willing to touch this aspect. The first two topics are – in a very general way – quite clear but assessment intrigued me as being part of the final judgement given to a student and the possible effects on student's motivation. OUR PLANNING :  we started our preparations for our next teaching sessions relatively late. I say relatively because between our last and our next sessions there was time for the Educational Science module.
